Be VERY careful after the diet. You’ll probably feel very hungry which will mean you eat loads so be careful to stay away from food. Don’t eat stuff with too much fat because it will immediately stored in your body which is worried that it’s going to happen again so it’s builds up the fat. Be VERY careful.

Q&A: The lemon detox diet..?

Question by : The lemon detox diet..?
I have heard ALOT about this lemon detox diet. Does anybody know from experience if it actually works?

I know all the blah blah about gaining weight once you stop & how your body goes into starvation mode ect .. so please, none of the criticisms. I see Maria Carey and Beyonce knowells are bouncing off the walls over how great it is, or is it all just a big publicity stunt.

THanks :)

Just exercise. I know you heard this a lot probably.
But just by drinking lemon juice and getting the gunk outta your body doesnt mean your going to lose the weight.

I’m a natural size 8 but i have a belly, am i eating/exercising right? professional opinions please!?

Question by S.Ghostman: I’m a natural size 8 but i have a belly, am i eating/exercising right? professional opinions please!?
So I am a natural size 8 (female) and I have an unsightly belly- the kind of flab that you can grab a good handful of. it’s horrible and i don’t know how to get rid of it!
I’ve kept a food diary the past week and half- i would appreciate some comments on whether i’m eating ok. i exercise regularly, run 3 /4 times a week, alternating speeds and distances (15min, short istance fast run, long distance (8km) 35min run. i also go to the gym and use weights, and once a week do some cardio other than running such a spin- the exercise is a recent development, as in 3 weeks.
i’ve also kept a food diary the past week and half- excuse the 2 days of only drinking juice, it was a detox!

i’m not interested in fad diets that will slim down my core area really quickly, because i know i’ll just gain it all back. i’m also not interested in losing weight since i am a good natural size. i just don’t know what to do about my belly! here is my food diary:

Master cleanser alternative?

Question by : Master cleanser alternative?
So I’m pretty sure that the lemonade diet is pretty popular. But apparently I should not do it because I have anemia.
I am sixteen years old with anemia, high cholesterol and weigh 167 lbs.
& 5’2
I work out, so it’s not that I don’t have muscle. It’s that I have all that stuff that a detox gets rid of.
But I’m scared of taking pills to loose weight and I’m tired of constantly working out without loosing weight. So I was all for the lemonade diet but that was denied. So I was hoping for an alternative. The only reason I can’t do the lemonade diet is because of the lemons. So if there is anything similar that is effective, that would be great. My birthday is at the end of the month. I want to wear a bikini since we are going to the beach. I am tired of being over weight. Because I’m not gigantic, I just have enough extra fat that I won’t go out to the pool. I actually haven’t gone out much this summer if at at. I’m tired of just being depressed. If you can help at all i’d really appreciate it.
Thank You (:

Those cleansing fads are actually rather dangerous for your body. Your body will naturally cleanse itself if you eat a healthy diet.

Q&A: Gluten intolerance and bad skin?

Question by nebula: Gluten intolerance and bad skin?
I’m nearing a month of a gluten free diet due to a sensitivity (not C.D.), and have noticed that my skin has been getting increasingly more problematic. While I am used to a few pimples, I have developed a bunch of what appear to be incredibly clogged pores. It’s like a bunch of raised bumps, the same color as my skin, that pop if I squeeze them. They’re not pimples, and they’re not blackheads.

Is this a symptom of detox, and will they eventually dissipate? It’s really starting to bother me.

(Prior to becoming gluten free, probably 80% of my food contained gluten)

Any suggestions to help clear my skin? I’m going to start drinking hot water with lemon & honey a couple times a day to see if this helps. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

yes that sounds like a detox.that happens to me. if its lasts longer than another month I would look into other sources for your cause of bad skin, such as dairy products.

Q&A: How is it possible that I’m gaining weight?

Question by ihave5cats@gmail.com: How is it possible that I’m gaining weight?
Okay so I’m on this very healthy diet. I eat probiotic yogurt and fish oil pills everyday, as well as taking detox baths. I’m completely off sugar, almost all grains, all dairy except yogurt and butter. Also canned food. What I can eat is meat, vegetables, fruit, honey, nuts, coconut and almond flour baked goods and eggs.

I have to make sure every meal is made up equal amounts veggies and meat. I start everyday with a glass of lemon water. Im only eating frozen yogurt as dessert.

But I’m STILL gaining weight! I weigh 154.5 and I’m 5’11″ tall. Im also a girl, by the way. I used to weigh 148. Im pretty athletic, and I exercise a lot.

What’s happening? Please help! Best answer gets 10 points!
I’m not eating canned food. Please read the question before you answer!

I don’t know where you have gotten this diet but to answer your question your calorie intake could be higher then what you were previously eating. Preparation of food can add a lot of nutritional value that you perhaps dont realise and don’t want. The probiotic doesn’t actually help with your diet except to regulate your bowl momement and the fish oil pills are simply to lower cholesterol levels which you are still retainig to a rich diet of nuts, eggs, and the almound flour. Check your portions though. Make sure they aren’t to big.

i am suffering from influenza…what i shoulf avoid of.. i read that i have not to drink milk.?

Question by )))samo(((: i am suffering from influenza…what i shoulf avoid of.. i read that i have not to drink milk.?
check this i think that’s not wright isn’t it

The ‘flu’ is caused primarily by the body’s vulnerability to flu germs owing to extreme toxemia of the system, which results in excessive retention of toxic wastes, which impair immunity; flu strikes hardest in winter, because in winter the body excretes wastes more slowly and people eat less fresh, raw foods; toxic tissues, mostly in the respiratory apparatus, become breeding grounds for air-born pathological bacteria.

Cleansing-detox is the very first step towards resolving this issue followed by a rejuvenation-diet.

The below foods and juices are therapeutic and healing after your cleansing.

Horseradish and lemon juice: same for asthma.

Carrot, celery, parsley, spinach juice: this blend is super-rich in potassium, which quickly reduces acidity throughout the system, thereby commencing the detoxification process required for complete cure and recovery.

help help …should i drink soda soft drinks, milk soap.
should i eat raw gralic …

*eggs …can i eat.

Answer by Mxsmanic
Not sure where you got that answer, but it sounds like nonsense.

There’s no cure for the flu. The best thing to do is get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids, take medication to ease the symptoms if necessary, and eat occasional light meals if you can. It takes a week or two to get over the flu, sometimes longer. There can be leftover symptoms like a cough or fatigue for weeks. It has nothing to do with “toxemia,” “cleansing,” or anything like that.

Crohns, Celiac, Lupus, Hypothyroidism????? Help!?

Question by : Crohns, Celiac, Lupus, Hypothyroidism????? Help!?
I started to have mental fogginess issued back in 2004, and remember having a general feeling of not feeling well. I can’t really remember exactly what it was like back then though. By the time 2006 came along, my issues had progressed pretty rapidly. I…

- Had mental clarity issues.
- I would get up to go to the grocery store and get in the car and realized I had forgotten where I was going.
- I would bruise easily. I had diarrhea.
My stomach was extremely bloated.
I could barely carry on a conversation.

After a few failed attempts at the doctors, I DIAGNOSED MYSELF with Celiac’s disease. Immediately, I went on a gluten free diet. After 6 months of being gluten free, I did notice improvement in some areas. But I never got to feeling 100%. Not even 60%.

So I continued my research…

About a year ago, I truly thought I was dying. I had…

It feels as if all my stomach organs are swollen along with my head
I feel like I have a fever, and my skin is hot to the touch (but no actual fever)
Severe mental fogginess
Underarm sweating
Diarrhea
Severe grogginess when waking
Severe bloating
Bruisings
Pressure headaches (get migraines on occasions with blurred vision, I think unrelated)
Swollen and puffy eyes
Got sick easily
Cold hands and feet
Shiver in cold weather
Fatigue
Major skin issues. Pustuals on the hands and feet, rashes, etc. However I was able to get that at bay with very very mild soap.

I knew at this point, I had to make a change. I cut everything out of my diet and slowly reintroduced things. At the end of this test, the only thing I could eat (at not perfect at that) was fruits, veggies, millet bread, sunflower butter (peanut butter substitute). I stuck to that diet for about 6 months and really better but dropped to 140 pounds. I went from a 1 out of 10 to a 6. But then started noticing that I was lacking nutrients and was getting other symptoms for not being balanced nutritionally. I have added a few things back in with a major herbal supplement system that I have created to help assist.

Right now my diet is this…

Food:
Fruits
Veggies
Millet bread
Sunflower butter

Supplements:
Garden of Life meal shake with probiotics and enzymes
Activated Charcoal (Draw out poisons)
Aloe Juice (Digestion)
Basil (Digestion)
Cayenne (Immune Booster)
Cilantro (Detox)
Cinnamon (Anti-Inflammatory)
Coconut (Anti-Viral, Anti-Bacterial)
Flax Oil (Anti-Inflammatory)
Garlic (Anti-Viral, Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Fungal)
Ginger (Anti-Inflammatory)
Ginko (Blood Flow)
Ginsing (Digestion)
Lime (Anti-Biotic)
Mushroom (Cancer inhibitor)
Peppermint (Digestion)
Rosemary (Blood Flow)
Tumeric (Anti-Inflammatory, Cancer Fighter)
Lemon Water

I have seen certain improvements with my herbal remedy, but nothing too major.
I thought way back that it was celiac’s. Deleting gluten from my diet helped, but did not fix the problem. My current research makes me feel like it is either Crohn’s or something similar, or Hepatitis C. I have read that the two can be confused. I have recently been tested through a private company for Hep C and it came back Negative. What confuses me is that I do not have stomach pain like most Crohn’s patients do. However, I am pretty sure I have an ulcer. I do have a sharp pain in my stomach that comes and goes at times. And the biggest issue for me is mental clarity and this swelling fever I deal with. I can deal with irregular bowel movements, but the way I feel is unacceptable. I have a copy of blood work I had done a year ago when I was feeling my worst, and I noticed that they didn’t test for Hypothyroidism? Do these symptoms sound like this could possibly be a culprit? Lupus?

I am probably the healthiest person you know. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, all of my diet is natural organic from the earth foods, herbs and minerals. I should not fee the way that I do.

Please help!

Q&A: Anyone done the master cleanse for 2 weeks and lived to tell about it? lol?

Question by smileee: Anyone done the master cleanse for 2 weeks and lived to tell about it? lol?
water
dark maple syrup
lemon juice
cayenne pepper

i would love to detox my system and tighten up from the master cleanse and i got my first taste of what it’s like this weekend doing it for only three days, but i’m curious how people have handled it from doing it for 2+ weeks.

I exercised for about one hour thirty minutes too just so I could keep my metabolism up and not have it slow down from lack of calories (i think! haha but with all that maple syrup you never know.) i’m also curious if it helps you lose any weight because of all the sugar from the maple syrup. haha.

did you gain all the weight back after you stopped?

i am fully aware that there are healthier ways to diet but i was fascinated by this and decided to give it a try. it actually tastes really good haha.

thanks, have a good day, and all power to you if you have done it! lol

I did it for 12 days (close enough!) I ordered the Neera cleanse online. I started on a Saturday so I could get over the hump before going back to work and not be in agony. It was rough the first three days and then smooth sailing. I was amazed and disgusted by the fact that on the fifth day I was still having bowel movements even though I hadn’t eaten anything and followed the cleanse to a T. Also, the fact that I was a semi-vegetarian and had bowel movements twice a day regularly. I thought my system was pretty efficient, but the proof was in the fact that FULL bowel movements 5-7 days into it were still happening. I lost 14 lbs, which was slowly regained due to my not following up with a change in lifestyle to compliment a healthy colon.
