Question by S.Ghostman: I’m a natural size 8 but i have a belly, am i eating/exercising right? professional opinions please!?
So I am a natural size 8 (female) and I have an unsightly belly- the kind of flab that you can grab a good handful of. it’s horrible and i don’t know how to get rid of it!
I’ve kept a food diary the past week and half- i would appreciate some comments on whether i’m eating ok. i exercise regularly, run 3 /4 times a week, alternating speeds and distances (15min, short istance fast run, long distance (8km) 35min run. i also go to the gym and use weights, and once a week do some cardio other than running such a spin- the exercise is a recent development, as in 3 weeks.
i’ve also kept a food diary the past week and half- excuse the 2 days of only drinking juice, it was a detox!
i’m not interested in fad diets that will slim down my core area really quickly, because i know i’ll just gain it all back. i’m also not interested in losing weight since i am a good natural size. i just don’t know what to do about my belly! here is my food diary:
Sunday
12.15- half banana, one biscuit of weetabix, honey and milk
2.45- 2 sausages, 1 scrambled egg with spring onion, quarter can baked beans
3.30- mccoys cheese n onion crisps
8.30- roast chicken, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potato, parsnip, gravy
9.00- apple pie and custard
10.00- small piece of fruit cake and cream
10.30- grapes, cherries, strawberries
Monday
10.30- half banana, blueberries, strawberries, one weetabix, honey and milk
14.00- 2 fish fingers, 1 sausage, half scrambled egg, baked beans, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet potato. fruit fiber cake (watermelon, berries, kiwi)
20.30- chicken pie, sweet potato mash, broccoli, carrots
21.30- – strawberries, green and black grapes, cherries, mango
Tuesday
11.40- half banana, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, one weetabix and milk
15.00- 2 sausages, sweet potato mash, broccoli, carrots, gravy
20.00- home made vegetarian pizza and mixed salad with lemon juice dressing
21.00- cherries, strawberries, blueberries, green and black grapes
Wednesday
11.00- blueberries, blackberries, half banana, one weetabix, milk
14.00- chicken soup
14.30- black cherry yoghurt
16.00- bit of salad, 2 pieces of home made veg pizza
17.00-2 square pieces of chocolate
20.30- chicken Bolognese sauce and meatbals (no pasta)
Thursday
10.00-1 raspberry yoghurt
12.00- 1 weetabix, banana and blueberries
16.30- 1and half egg omelette with mix veggies and cheese
19.30- few strawberries
22.30- inside bit of fish n chip shop cod, chicken soup
23.30- 1 mango
Friday
11.00- 1 raspberry yoghurt
12.15- 1 weetabix, banana, bueberries, mango
19.00- king prawns, green beans, broccoli, garlic and chilli stir fry with soy sauce, honey and rice wine vinegar sauce
20.30- single vodka cranberry juice
21.30- 2 small slices of cheese and onion quiche minus the pastry, a couple of chicken nuggets, fresh strawberries
Saturday
08.30- hot water and lemon drink
09.30- apples, celery, carrot, yellow bell pepper, beetroot, broccoli, lemon, cucumber juice drink
13.30- same as above
16.30- 3/4 litre water with beetroot, apple, lemon hydration drink
19.30- avocado, spinach, apple, and parsely smoothie
Sunday
08.30- hot water and lemon drink
09.30- natural plain live yogurt, blueberries, blackberries, smoothie
13.00- ginger, apple juice, dreamy detox juice
16.00- hydration drink with beetroot, apple and lemon
19.30- avocado, spinach, parsely and apple juice
Monday
08.30- hot water and lemon drink
09.00- fresh mixed fruit juice
10.30- one weetabix, blueberries, blackberries, kiwi, apricot and milk
13.30- pork and mix veg stir fry with soy sauce honey and chilli dressing, with egg fried cauli-rice
14.00- a couple of spoonfuls of homemade apple and apricot crumble
19.30- garlic and shallots steamed mussells, half a piece of halibut fish with roasted tomatoes and roasted red onions, a bit of asparagus and broccoli
20.00- a whole mango
22.30- cherries
Tuesday
08.30- hot water and lemon drink
09.00-1 weetabix, blueberries, banana, strawberries and milk
10.00- fresh juice- spinach, parsely, apple, beetroot juice
13.00- roasted tomato soup
16.30- a bag of cherries
17.00- garlic mussell soup
20.30- palak chicken, mixed salad, yellow daal
21.00- straberries and cherries
22.30- 3 oranges
Wednesday
08.50- fresh juice
09.00- 1 weetabix, banana, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, bran flakes, almonds and milk
13.30- mackeral, sweet potato, feta and spinach leafed salad
14.00-handful of dry cereal
15.30- an orange
20.30- slices of homecooked roast bacon joint, with half a roasted sweet potato, couple of sticks of parsnips, carrots and broccoli, red cabbage, and gravy
21.00-apple crumble and custard
Thursday
09.00- apple, spinach, ginger juice
10.00- porridge with cinnamon, mixed spice, grated apple, chopped banana and blackberries
13.30- cold slices of last nights bacon joint, pickled beet and picked onion, apple chutney and salad wi
