Whatever you have to do to mentally prepare yourself and boost your self confidence go for it. Just make it mean something when you do a clense you can make it a turning point for yourself to start exercising and change your eating habits.These "fasts and detox" are not for losing weight but if it starts that fire in you, then detoxing yourself before you begin a healthier chapter in your life is a great idea(consult a physician before you take any of my advice)....good luck
