I want to know if it’s possible to do the detox without the cayenne pepper I can’t get past that burning sensation! I’m on Day2 I feel great!

Be VERY careful after the diet. You’ll probably feel very hungry which will mean you eat loads so be careful to stay away from food. Don’t eat stuff with too much fat because it will immediately stored in your body which is worried that it’s going to happen again so it’s builds up the fat. Be VERY careful.

I have heard ALOT about this lemon detox diet. Does anybody know from experience if it actually works?

I know all the blah blah about gaining weight once you stop & how your body goes into starvation mode ect .. so please, none of the criticisms. I see Maria Carey and Beyonce knowells are bouncing off the walls over how great it is, or is it all just a big publicity stunt.

Just exercise. I know you heard this a lot probably.
But just by drinking lemon juice and getting the gunk outta your body doesnt mean your going to lose the weight.

there was an interesting documentary that BBC did called “Super Skinny Me” where one of the girls tried it

she lost weight only because you replace real food with liquid that gives a very temporary feeling of fullness

This is my second day on the Lemonade Detox, and so far- I have not had to go to the bathroom except to pee. I have had no bowel movements others say you’re supposed to have. I am drinking Detox Tea every night and I feel nothing – I feel no effect what so ever. I mixed the Lemonade correctly- with the Grade B Maple syrup, and real lemon juice. Why is this not working for me? I am 25, 5 11 and am overweight at 235 lbs. I would only like answers pertaining to what I asked- so please, no “Lemonade diets dont work- only excercise and healthy food”. I dont need to hear that crap. After the 10 day detox, Im moving on to healthy food and excercise. But I want to know why I havent felt a difference? I thought by drinking the lemonade and tea, your body was supposed to “rid” itself of toxins and what not. My body hasnt done any of that.

Is this a healthy diet?

I want to lose 20 kilos in 7 weeks. However i am aware this is unhealthy and almost impossible. So i am going for a more realistic plan. Do you think this will help me lose a lot of fat in 7 weeks without making my hair fall out?

Breakfast time: One bowl of fruit or one bowl of porridge (depends what i feel like at the time).

Lunch time: Salad with either fish or skinless roasted chicken. or a stake sandwich on whole meal bread with tomato. I will most likely not have two serving of wheat on the same day so if i have a stake sandwich it wont be on a porridge day.

And for dinner. An apple, since i never eat dinner any way.

And for exercise. One hour at the gym then after lunch one hour walk ever day.

One day a week with a personal trainer for half an hour.

One day a week eating nothing at all except water with lemon. So i get a detox to help flush out toxins and junk from my body.
I cant have accai berry because it has caffeine and i am iron deficient. Don’t bother with pill adds please.

I am on day 2 of a fruit and veggie diet. I wanted to make it to 7 days but I’m getting headaches and now my throat is hurting like I am getting sick. Could I be getting sick from the detox?

For breakfast I have had oatmeal, and then fruits and veggies all day. For dinner I’ve had a plain vegetarian patty.

I’ve been really hungry and am also drinking hot water with lemon and cayenne pepper.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

You need proteins and nutritious foods in your diet so try different diets – like dairy free and drink soy milk for calcium. Or vegetarian – and eat lentils or something. Or eat normally and exercise.

Hey all!! I was watching La Ink last nite, and two of the girls made a “lemonade cleanse”. It’s a diet you do for 10 days and you drink as much of this “lemonade” drink as you want. You mix lemon juices, filtered water, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. It’s supposed to help you lose weight and detox your body.
OK so… My question is:
In the recipe for the “lemonade” you’re supposed to use maple syrup. Well I messed up and when I went to the store today, I got pure molasses. Does anyone know about this lemonade cleanse?
Can I use the molasses instead of the maple syrup? And if not, what kind of maple syrup? It’s not supposed to be the kind you use on pancakes and stuff… So what kind is it!?!?

I heard about that and asked my father about it- you are not doing your body justice with that. You may think your cleansing- but your really killing.

try laxatives instead- and when you finish you will need to eat a lot of yogurt to replace all of the organisms that will have died.

please only answer the questions honestly & dont judge me . thanks so much for those of you who help out alot ! i reallly appreciate it .

current day & weight . ; May 14th . 155 pounds . only 5’3 tall .

goal ; June 1st . 135 – 145 pounds at least .

1. how long should i do the diet ? is ten days enough ?

2. the diet reccomends to drink herbal tea & saltwater after . does this mean after each glass you drink or once a day ? also, is salt water just water with like a bit of regular salt in it ? how do you make it & how much of that do you drink ? i heard salt is dangerous .

3. should i do excercise at all while one the detox ? like i usually go running in the park for a few big laps, dance, or get on the treadmill . is this okay or will it make me pass out ? & is there anything special i should do if i want to work out to help my metabolism .

4. after the detox, do you ease back into regular eating & then just continue a healthly lifestyle to maintain the finished weight ?

5. do you think it is possible for me to lose at least 10 pounds or get rid of all my water weight by june 1st. ?

6. in the recipe it requires maple syrup, lemon & a bit of cayenne pepper .
lemon – freshly squeezed or no ?
syrup – specific kind or no ?
cayenne pepper – can i just buy this in a spice section at a place like walmart in the little bottles ?

7. if you did the diet, did it work for you ? how much weight did you lose, & for how long did you do it ?

1. Best not done at all.
2. Once you take the solution, you will have to be on guard, a bowel movement generally in 30-60 minutes between taking it and the first movement. The last movements will begin to wind down an hour or so after they begin.
3. You will be lucky to have enough energy to exercise.
4. Doctors say the weight soon goes back on, often with even more weight going on.
5. You will lose water weight quickly!
6. the maple syrup is to supply much needed (few) calories. some people use any grade, some use honey.
Freshly squeezed lemon juice is best, it has vitamin C.
Any sort of cayenne. It’s a gastric irritant.
7. I didn’t do it, would not consider doing it.

morning:
lemon water for a detox/get my system going
2-3 glasses of green smoothie (4 cups spinach, 2 bananas, 1 orange)

lunch:
1 slice of whole grain toast w/ spinach, arugula, & balsamic vinegar
a poached egg on top
green tea

workout: 45 minutes on the elliptical and weights or yoga

snack:
a glass of green smoothie or some almonds or a mango or greek yogurt

dinner:
fish, brown rice, and plenty of steamed veggies
green tea

before bed:
hot water w/ lemon and honey
aw kim! you’re so sweeeeet<333 thank you :) i wasn't too sure if it wasn't balanced enough or if i wasn't getting enough nutrients or calories. i'm new to this. i just felt like complete crap after inhaling 4 containers of mozzarella cheese, an entire loaf of french bread, and a box of pizza with 5 cans of soda. yikes!

We plan on doing some type of cardio/walking for an hour a day and eating healthy,we’re looking into the fat smash diet or maybe even something simple like a detox for three days and then something like Special K for breakfast with a fruit (or yogurt)and 2% or skim milk,for lunch maybe a chicken salad or tuna on wheat,and for dinner a green leafy vegetable(spinach,romaine salad,organic leafy salad) or cabbage with baked lemon chicken or fish. If we do this for four months straight how much weight could we lose? we’re College students and we’re trying to get on the right path health-wise THANKS!

If you’re going on a diet for 4 months and are in college, you need one that has a lot of variety and is easy to do. I like your second choice better than the first. If you look up the “diabetic exchange diet” you can find specific caloric intake charts that are easy to follow. There are charts for 1200, 1400, etc. calories. I would recommend starting walking 30 minutes 3X a week (at least) and work up every two weeks X15 minutes. I would think you would loose a minimum of 3 lb. a week if you stay on 1200 calories and walk each day. That’s 12 lbs. a month! Just be sensible in your choices and it will be easier than you think. Having a partner also helps lots! Good luck.
