okay so for diet, i’m thinking one day a week of a liquid detox diet where i only drink freshly juiced fruits and veggies (carrot/apple juice, grapefruit/orange/lemon juice, etc) and i’ll have 1 serving of an organic protein shake made with soymilk. then for the other 6 days, i’ll follow the South Beach Diet Phase 1 (cut out all carbs, have only protein and veggies). and i’ll drink a whole bunch of water and take a multivitamin each day.
for exercise, i’ll do a warm-up of about 10 minutes of jogging and 5 minutes of stretching. then i’ll do a 20-minute workout on the “lateral thigh trainer” machine, which is basically a stair master, 15 minutes on the elliptical, 15 minutes doing weight training and toning exercises (using both a bowflex machine and free weights, and doing things with no weights like push ups and crunches). and then a cool down of a 10 minute 4.5mph uphill walk on treadmill and then some more stretching.

how much weight will i lose if i stick to this diet and exercise plan? how long will it take me to lose 20-25 pounds? how can i make the weight come off faster?

if it helps, right now i’m 17 years old, 5’2” and 145 pounds. i’d like to get down to around 115-120 pounds as soon as possible.

Each person is different, so there is really no way to tell how fast you will lose it. Try it for a week, see how much you lose. Ask your doctor if that is a safe amount to lose in a week. From there, try limiting your portions just a bit. Only so much that you stay in a safe weight loss per week. Be sure to get enough liquids, mostly water. I would cut out any sugary and carbonated beverages.

I have heard of the lemon detox and many diet pills i dont wanna make a bad choice so i need help in what to do. my doctor says i need to lose about 50 pounds and right now that seems impossible some one help me!

try this…

eat nothing but apples for three days and water

eat as many apples as you want like 30 or so…and nothing but water!! PLEASE DONT BREAK THE RULES…it is worth it..beacause u will lose 5 pounds. When you are hungry…the only thing u may think of is APPLES! i know it will be hard if u see other people eating yummy foods but u will lose 5 pounds.

ONE IMPORTANT THING…after 3 days…u r going to start ur normal diet again…but please…dont go running to a fastfood !…ur stomach is going to start to eat something after three days of eating apples…start with something soft, like soups and delicate food for your stomach like that…

it is called the apple fast…google it if u want…it works mostly for acne, but it takes 5 pounds of too…i think its the best if u want to lose 5 pounds in 3 days…YOUR WELCOME!

I am interested in detoxing and beginning to eat better. I have read a lot about the Lemonade Diet. Sometimes this is called the Master Cleanse, but I always have called it the Lemonade Diet.

It seems safe. You start the Diet by making the Lemonade out of Lemons, Maple Syrup and Cayenne Pepper. You don’t eat or drink anything else except water while doing the Lemonade Diet and supposedly you loose lots of fat and eliminate toxins that are stored up in your body.

I understand lots of people get scared of the Lemonade Diet because it is an unknown, alternative idea but I want to know if there are any factual pros or cons to doing it. Drinking the Lemonade seems to give you calories and nutrients (rich, organic lemons and high grade sugar) and so it would seem the diet is like an internal IV system.

It’s just a fad.
Any temporary diets are fads.
Liquid diets are even more of a fad. You’re just starving yourself, and when you’re done your brain will tell you to overeat to compensate.
And detoxing is also a fad, and crap science. Unless you have been poisoned, you don’t need to detox anything. And drinking lots of liquid wouldn’t help that anyway.

That dosent work that much. Trust me. Im 16 and my mum is a fitness FREAK.. Shes like a barbie.. Anyway, my mum goes to the gym 4 times a week and just drinks hot water and lemon because its good for clearing toxins, not to lose weight, you have to reduce your stomach size… For example say ur stomach is the size of a large potato… If you keep eating anf filling it up it will keep stretching, but if you eat the amount of a kiwi then there will be abit of room in your stomach and eventually it will shrink, this will mean your body will need LESS FOOD.. So less food most probarbly means LESS FAT intake and then WEIGHT WILL BE LOST. Obviously you need to do alot if exercise. I mean i used this approach 3weeks ago and ive lost 5lbs already..

Also try skipping with a rope, its amazing and it tones you up like nothing else. :)

i use to be able to run atleast five laps of my garden and not be tierd
or have a stitch, or be out of breathe. now, i can do one and i have to
sit down. i do cheerleading but im just a dancer, i dont do much
physical activity in that class so it’s not really helping. plus, i only do that twice a week.i stand up straight and my stomach almost covers
my toes. i have nice legs and big boobs, but why a pot tummy?

mum wont let me try the lemon detox diet and that seems to be
good from what i have read about it on the internet. i dont know what
else i can do. i drink LOADS of water, try to eat healthy (with breakfast
and lunch and dinner and little snacks in between) but nothing else
works. please help me. serious answers only and please, no fat jokes :(

My situation is, I purchased a custom made dress overseas which I got my measurements done and all when I was on holiday over there and they offered when they had made it to send it to me since it does take awhile.

I just got the dress just recently buuut it turns out I have gained weight since then… alot of weight.
I can’t send it back and it was pricey. I love this dress and the occasion I’m wearing it for is in a month.
My only option is to loose weight. I have no idea how to loose alot of weight in a month.
The amount I need to loose is 20kgs, or as close to that number as I can get.
I’m unsure on my calorie intake and I’m in my late teens. My sleeping patterns are average, I get 6 hours of good sleep most nights and I have a very relaxed life at the moment, no stress just the occasional school assessments .
I already exercise and eat healthy and all that…. but it’s not doing me anything.

What’s a SAFE, fast, cheap and effective way to loose 20kgs (or near) in one month?
I’m not even going to attempt the lemon detox diet, because I want something that is safe.

Please, if you don’t have anything sensible to say don’t say anything at all as I am rather serious with this.

The most you should lose per month 4kg. I personally think it’s okay to lose up to 6kg (a stone) but not more.

You should target on getting tighter to fit into the dress.

So maybe lose the stone by healthy eating and cardio but include strength training too and get toner. This will make you drop a dress size and make it loose.

Even if you wanted to lose weight the unhealthy weight it would be impossible unless you had surgery.

Don’t worry about a special diet plan

just watch what you eat and cut out unnecessary food
exercise daily
the best thing to do is run and eat less
Also drink water. You’d be surprised at how many calories you bring in just from drinks alone

I am only 13 and i weigh about 80kg. I am pretty tall for my age. Im about 1.66cm, but i do want to lose weight. I have joined on to a gym and the computer at the gym says im burning about 300 calories everytime i go, which is about 3 times a week. but i would also like to no other ways i can lose weight.
I kinda want to lose about 1 kg a week. Any advise on good exercise or easy diets i can folow?

ps. I dont want to take any tablets or have to do like a lemon detox diet.

My god your only 13.. Your still growing.. don’t worry about losing weight just yet!!.. Just eat healthy, drink plenty of water and keep doing your exercises Everything will happen in its own time.. Your at the age of puberty so your body will be going through heaps of changes.. Make sure you keep a healthy mind as well..

I am 16 and fat. I weigh 175 lbs and I’m 5’6″. I have a BMR of 1673.

So I am planning on eating 1200 calories a day, walking 2 miles a day (which I do already) and doing 250 situps a day. Will this make me lose weight? I eat breakfast, usually fruits and vegetables, sometimes oatmeal. I drink only water and Vitamin Waters. But I have a poor metabolism.

Plus, I went on the Lemon Detox Diet 2 years ago and got down to 130 lbs (with my previous jogging and diet before of course). Can I go on this again?

I wouldn’t recommend that. You will lose weight with the exercise and extremely low calorie intake, however, there is the possibility that because it is that low, you will gain the weight back (happens with this type of diet) I might recommend you go for 1400-1500 calories a day.

I have notice recently Ive put on maybe 1-2 kilos of unwanted weight just from bad habits
I was going to look into the lemon detox diet thingy, as im so busy n having less time for gym.

Dose anyone have good suggestions for changes I should incorporate in my diet, my weight usually goes straight to the top of my legs haha, has its pros and cons

Also any suggestions for fast meals I can make for lunch while I’m at work, even something to graze on during the day that wont destroy my hard work…
Embarrassing to say I get so lazy I just end up having junk food, which is where the extra weight is from as everything in my household is usually healthy, due to my health conscious mother, in a good way of course :)

okay, to get into shape , speed up your metabolism, rid yourself of excess fat and lose weight ,,,,,do as follows:

Stop drinking & smoking (if you do this regularly)
eat fruits & vegetables all you can (buy a food/rice steamer to make it easy on you)…(vegetables might not seem “tasty”, like junk foods,, but can be as you aquire your taste to them..and are loaded with energy and nutrients)…avoid all junk food, cokes, sweets, etc…and drink water . If you eat meat ,,use only steamed, baking or grilled methods for preparing fish or chicken.

also, do an hour of walking each day at least. or some type of excercise.

* you should lose about 10 lbs per month
